Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the breast uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of the structures within the breast. It is a noninvasive medical test primarily used as a supplemental tool to breast screening with mammography or ultrasound.
Central Oregon MRI and St. Charles Medical Center have acquired the state- of-the-art Sentinelle Vanguard® imaging system. The dedicated Breast MR Coil System provides unprecedented improvements in image quality, ease of access for biopsies and patient comfort.
Please come to the St. Charles Bend campus and park on the north side of the building. Enter through the lower level entrance designated MRI/CT. Once inside, follow the signs to the MRI/CT reception area.
